Ahhh... The Posies!
They came out of Seattle at the around the same time that grunge took off, but the Posies were not grunge... they were power pop.
I didn't follow them much after their seminal album Dear 23, and also Frosting on the Beater.
Ringo Starr covered this song.
Jonathan Auer and Ken Stringfellow are the two mainstays in the band, and were part and parcel in Big Star reforming some years ago. Stringfellow also performed with R.E.M. for awhile.
